Captain's Select Seafood originated in 1995 when Captain Bill Young shipped fresh Halibut off his Alaskan commercial vessel to his wife Carolyn in Minneapolis. Now and then the couple would treat Family and friends to the freshest Alaskan seafood available. When they decided to branch out, Carolyn took the Captains fresh catch of Halibut to some of the finer Minneapolis restaurants. The response was very positive and the chefs encouraged her to keep this incredible, just off the boat, fish in the market place and so began our journey....

In time Captain Bill began air freighting King Crab, Snow Crab, Wild Alaskan Copper River Salmon, Sablefish (blackcod), Lingcod and Halibut into the Minneapolis area also. We currently have contacts with the industries top fishermen around the U.S. and abroad. Captain's Select Seafood supplies quality restaurants and catering facilities with over 50 varieties of their fresh and frozen Premium Grade Seafood. We currently offer products for retail customers as well.
